For our Brand Marketing team, we are looking for a Brand Manager (NGP) Cluster DACH (m/f/d).

The Role

The role holder will work within the Consumer Marketing function, Cluster DACH reporting directly to the Head of NGP & FCT (next generation products & fine cut). The Brand Manager NGP will be part of a lean category team, responsible of aligning the brand Strategy in the Cluster, defining the Operational Plan and executing the planned programs in Germany. The successful individual will work in close cooperation with the Global Category Team as well as the Region Europe Team and will play a pivotal role in the development of the Brand. Within the global market tiering framework he/she will be accountable of ensuring that the brand positioning and marketing mix are relevant for our markets and will deliver brand growth. He/she will also be responsible of co-creating consumer relevant Initiatives, the activation strategy as well as its implementation in an consumer centric mindset. A drive to continuously improve in effort to achieve excellence is assumed.

What are your major duties?

Brand Equity / Portfolio and Innovation

Monitor Brand Health and propose relevant actions to improve it

Inject locally relevant insights and requirements into global category and regional brand developments

Localize equity campaigns as well as all communication platforms across touchpoints to be target consumer relevant

Deliver a portfolio architecture in line with target consumer needs & market trends / demand shifts

Responsible of the product development process of those initiatives relevant to our Cluster (i.e. GPC, BPPC, LEP)

Strategic / operational planning

Prepare and propose a consumer insight led and data based strategic and operational plan including omni channel activation inside the global brand strategy, respecting latest trends as well as cross category development within the relevant competitive and regulatory framework

Brand experience & activation

Develop and execute a consumer centric activation plan measurable via relevant target metrics and specify an effective and efficient touchpoint mix based on budget and reach requirements derived from strategic and operational planning.

Ensure state-of-the-art marketing effectiveness tracking to drive ROI driven budget decisions.

The role will encompass:
Continually review the brands’ performance and actively propose course corrections, building on consumer insights and needs in existing and new channels/ geographies

Define brand strategies that ensure brand equity building

Develop and implement consumer/brand relevant pipeline of initiatives and activations in line with consumer needs

Lead NGP brand experience (activation) approach, coordinate & control internal and external interfaces (e.g. agencies)

Represent the cluster within cross functional business growth projects, engaging stakeholders and ensuring market relevance

Ensure collaboration flow with the Global category team, the regional team, and relevant cluster functions.

Who are you?

You hold a university degree in Economics, Business Administration or comparable education

Sales and or Trade Marketing experience desirable

Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in an FMCG environment, ideally in Germany, tobacco experience welcome

Proven track record of consumer centric marketing and transformative thinking

Excellent analytical skills and very strong conceptual, planning and executional skills

Self-confident and comfortable dealing with stakeholders from all levels

Flexible, organised and able to handle multiple projects at the same time

Results driven with initiative and ability to work autonomously

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Very good knowledge and experience in using the MS office is required

English fluent in spoken and written, German desirable
