What you will be doing

The Role:
We’re hiring for the Driver position to join our Operations team in Feltham Office at World Courier. You’ll be doing collections from and deliveries to freight sheds, courier facilities and other premises / facilities in the Heathrow area. This may include Customer pick ups and deliveries. Shipment handling, checking and sorting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Driving

Collections of consignments from freight sheds, courier facilities and other premises / facilities.

Delivery of consignments to freight sheds, courier facilities and other premises / facilities.

Presentation of paperwork required to effect clearance (Customs / Vet etc).

Checking and sorting consignments including dry ice checks.

Shipment handling including loading and unloading.

Interaction with internal and external customers.

Communication of relevant information, events, discrepancies etc.

Use of Internal systems and technology related to the business.

What your background should look like

Candidates Requirements:
Possess a full clean / nearly clean UK drivers licence which must have been held for a minimum of two years

Able to follow procedures & instructions, and able to provide relevant information on request

Good communication skills – verbally & written

Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Self-motivated, remains calm under pressure

Flexible attitude – for working shifts and last minute coverage

High attention to detail, uses own initiative and able to prioritise workload

Friendly & polite

Dependable, reliable and trustworthy

Presentable

Physically fit and able to undertake the required tasks
